Priyanka Sarkar has completed her B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (Specialized in Textile Fashion and Design) from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before that, she completed her H.S.C. from Cantonment Public School and College, Rangpur, Bangladesh. Currently, Priyanka Sarkar is employed as a lecturer in National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER). Prior to this, from April 2023 to June 2023, she has served as an intern in Pakiza Knit Composite Ltd, located in Savar, Dhaka. Her research interests are fusion fashion, circular economy, circular consumer behavior, Bangladeshi heritage materials, waste management in fashion industry, emerging trends eco-friendly jute products, high-end fashion wear etc.

Fusion Wear	Fusion fashion, simply put, is a fashion movement born from combining two or more different cultures’ clothing and accessory styles to create unique looks representative of each individual’s cultural background(s). The fusion-style is increasingly popular among non-Western communities, especially East/South Asians and Sub-Saharan Africans. For wearers in the motherland, fusion fashion is a way to reinvent traditional clothes and keep them relevant. The style is a way to stay connected to their roots, no matter how large the physical distance may be.	Making fashionable outfit from Bangladeshi heritage materials. By doing this, reinvention of traditional clothes in western form will be produced and will spread throughout the world with elegancy and identity.
Circular Economy	This is the future for business. This circular economy will not only enable business to tap into new sources of value, but help forge resilient markets and supply chains capable of delivering long-term sustainable prosperity. The World Economic Forum, Ellen MacArthur Foundation and McKinsey suggest this circular transition represents a $1tn opportunity for the global economy. As such, it presents a significant opportunity for businesses and consumers alike to move away from our traditional linear ‘take, make, and waste’ economy towards a circular model.”	The Fashion industry is an example of an industry that puts large pressures on the environment. Fashion industry consumes high rate of water and give up a value of sewage in the environment to produce new garments. And circular economy says about the elimination of this process that will help to lessen the pressures on the environment.
