Md. Shaheen Alam received his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from the
Department of Physics, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Alhamdulillah, he secured a CGPA of 4.00 out of 4.00 (1st Class, 1st Position)
in his M.Sc. and also held the 1st position in his B.Sc. program. By the grace
of Allah, he has consistently ranked 1st in every class from childhood up to
his M.Sc. studies. He is currently engaged in research in the fields of
semiconductor materials, solar cells (including CZTS, CIGS, Perovskite, and
DSSC), nanomaterials, thin films, and optoelectronics. Md. Shaheen Alam has
gained practical research experience from working at several prominent
laboratories, including the CMP Lab at Jahangirnagar University, Wazed Mia
Research Center, and the Institute of Energy Research & Development at
BCSIR. He has actively contributed to experimental projects focused on material
synthesis, characterization, and device fabrication.
Alongside his academic and research pursuits, he served as a guest
teacher at Charabug Glorious School & College, Savar, Dhaka, for two years.
Alhamdulillah, he has recently commenced his professional academic career as a
Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National
Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER), affiliated with the
University of Dhaka. He was also actively involved in various academic and
social organizations within Jahangirnagar University, including the Science
Club, Higher Study Club, and the Student Welfare Association of Gazipur. His
interests include renewable energy technologies, nanoelectronics, and the
development of advanced light-absorbing materials for optoelectronic
applications.
