A seminar titled “Career Growth and Upcoming Challenges” anchored by Raihan Ahmed Joy, Lecturer, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE).

The program started at 11:00 a.m. with a welcome speech by the Head of the Dept. of IPE, Dr. Toufique Ahmed. At 11:15 a.m., our first speaker, Mr. Jobayer Ahmed Khan, Asst. Manager (HR), Epyllion Group, started with the five key points that can expand the possibility of getting jobs. He also mentioned how these techniques helped the students of NITER get into the Epyllion Group in previous years. After the 30-minute session, students asked him several questions regarding their preparation for a job interview. Mr. Jobayer answered the questions broadly by mentioning the characteristics that are needed to ace an interview for a corporate job. At the end of his session, he expects the most optimistic graduates from NITER to join the Epyllion group.

At 12:00 p.m., our keynote speaker, Md. Saifuddin Ahmed Tusar, Senior Manager (HR), Epyllion Group, started with the current export rate of RMG products. Then he suggested some professional courses (Six Sigma, Lean, and TQM) for students besides the academic coursework. He also discussed the importance of these professional courses and how achieving them will make an individual exceptional compared to other candidates in the current job market.

The seminar ended with a closing speech by Raihan Ahmed Joy Lecturer of the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, NITER.
