Satu Saha is a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at the National Institute of Textile Engineering & Research (NITER), University of Dhaka. He completed his B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from NITER with a major in Wet Processing, graduating with a CGPA of 3.89 out of 4.00.
Prior to joining NITER, he served as a Lecturer at Sonargaon University and gained professional experience in the textile and apparel industry through roles at SRDL Buying House, Apex Holdings Ltd., and Aboni Knitwear Ltd. His academic and industrial exposure has strengthened his expertise in textile wet processing, dyeing, and merchandising.
Mr. Saha’s research interests focus on sustainable textile processing and the development of eco-friendly materials. He has published in Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio) on biodegradable and bio-based printing composites for textile substrates.
He is a recipient of the BTMA Presidency Award (Gold Medal) and the Department Topper Award at NITER. Alongside his academic contributions, he has been actively involved in student leadership and professional development activities.
