Mst. Farzina Akter

Mst. Farzina Akter is working as a Lecturer in Chemistry in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the National Institute of Textile Engineering & Research (NITER), affiliated with the University of Dhaka. She received her B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has gained practical research experience at several renowned laboratories, including the Wazed Mia Research Center, the Chemical Research Division and the Fiber and Polymer Division at BCSIR. Her research interests include Physical and Biophysical Chemistry focusing on the interaction of surface-active agents with drugs, polymers, metals, toxic materials, and environmental pollutants. She is also interested in wastewater purification using surfactant solutions, fabrication of biopolymer-based conductive materials, and the development of novel photo-absorbing materials for solar cells.
