Modification of polymers like cross-linking, grafting, degradation etc by chemical or radiation method.

Improvement of physic-chemical properties of hydrogel for medical application.

Graft copolymerization for drug delivery.

Synthesis of biodegradable and biocompatible polymeric materials.

Preparation of functional materials by coating of different monomers on the polymer chain and applying as sensor.

Design of hydrogel to use as artificial organ.

This lab is demonstrated for the Advanced level courses of CSE (Semester 5 to 8). Besides, this highly advanced (IOT, Networking Devices, Simulators) technological equipments are available in this lab. Students are provided with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, LCD Color TV Trainer Board, Data communication board, DSS Transmitter and Receiver, 8086 microprocessor, 8051 microcontroller, Telecommunication, Peripheral and Interfacing, Computer networks, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers from this lab.

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) is a constituent institute of Dhaka University offers four-year undergraduate degree program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The bachelor degree program is spread over 8 semesters with 2 semesters per year. The aim of the degree program is to make the students well equipped with the theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical and electronic Engineering. The program is designed to produce engineering graduates capable of in the following broad areas: Power systems, Communications, Control Systems and Power Electronics. In particular, they will be able to define and diagnose problems, provide and implement electrical engineering solutions in the industry, business and government sectors.

The department has already developed its own laboratories which are:

  1. Electrical Circuits, Electronics, and VLSI Lab
  2. Electrical Machines and Power Electronics Lab
  3. Power Systems and Communication engineering Lab
  4. Control systems, Measurement and Instrumentation lab.

Electrical engineers are part of a dynamic and ever changing field. Technological advances in the past decade have been astonishing and the future workforce shows a critical need for electrical and electronic engineers to help advance such areas as Nano scale technologies, advanced microsystems, ubiquitous communications, biological and biomedical engineering, signal processing, autonomous vehicles and robotics, and efficient energy production, transmission and conversion. An EEE degree also offers an excellent background for advanced training in medicine, business, and other analytical disciplines.  With an eye to the future and the challenges and excitement it holds, we strive at NITER to continually improve program quality - in classroom instruction, laboratory research, industrial internship experiences, international exchange programs, and project teaming.

Department of EEE focuses to acquire a solid foundation in electrical and electronic engineering theory. They gain experience in critical thinking and explore new and innovative ways to address advanced engineering problems. Design and hands-on labs and courses are offered in all years of the curriculum. The undergraduate capstone class engages students in teaming and open-ended problem solving. As a result, our students learn how to work with people from other science or engineering fields and are prepared for true-to-life work environments. In a nutshell, this department will put a strong emphasis on all the undergraduate students having opportunities for engineering experience outside the classroom by participating in cooperative education, internships, education abroad, and/or undergraduate research.
